DOWN / FEATHERS

The down flakes with their fine branched beard and myriads of mini air pockets create an optimal bed climate under the duvet. They have the property of constantly maintaining a perfect balance not only between "hot" and "cool", but also between "dry" and "humidity".

The higher the quality of the filling material (feathers and down flakes), the softer and more supple it is, and therefore less compact and lighter. It is not the quantity of the filling that determines the quality, but the ability of the material to absorb air and thus create good heat retention.

For duvets, the proportion of flakes should be as high as possible, because the flakes of down provide an ideal and light air-active effect.

On the other hand, for pillows, the proportion of feathers is higher, because it is they which determine the suppleness and the effect of lasting support of the pillow.
